"Nero Luce" is Yamaha Motor's new podcast series with O-One and the voice of Enrico Ruggeri

Yamaha Motor has chosen O-One, the digital agency part of the Industree Communication Hub Group, to create the new six-episode podcast series narrated by singer-songwriter and musician Enrico Ruggeri.

Yamaha Motor, the Italian subsidiary of the Japanese giant, is doing the encore and for its new podcast series relies again on the agency O-One, which has already been working alongside the brand for years in the social media sphere.

"Nero Luce" is the title of the series, narrated and interpreted by the voice of Enrico Ruggeri. A project that takes its cue from "The dark side of Japan" communication campaign linked to the Hyper Naked Yamaha MT motorcycles in which the parallelism between Japan - the brand's homeland - and the creative spirit of the range is celebrated.

There where Japan appears as an extremely traditionalist and stereotypical country there is in fact a universe of subcultures, new fashions and trends in constant ferment. The same creative spirit that has given shape and inspiration to Yamaha's MT line, a range of Naked motorcycles that lay bare the distinctiveness of the vehicle, challenging to go beyond appearances.

Going beyond what we see, laying bare is thus the challenge that guided the birth of this series and the choice of the themes and characters of the different episodes.

A challenge that leads to the discovery of a "dark side" that is anything but dark: because, as is the case with the moon, the "dark side" is only a part that we cannot see.

"Nero Luce" is a six-episode podcast series that, starting with the history of Yamaha, tells that of some characters who have been part of it and whose "dark side" is a mixture of exploits, passions, originality and creativity.

O-One – which can count on the "Music for Brands" unit in which the world of music is put at the service of companies' digital communication – with a unique offering that mixes digital expertise and musical and sound experience, has also worked on Yamaha Motor's previous podcast series "Next Horizon, the future one challenge at a time." The agency once again took up the challenge by participating in the definition of the concept and coordination, including editorial, for the realization of the series, in collaboration with Enrico Ruggeri, who will release his new unreleased album "La Rivoluzione" (Anyway Music) on March 18 and will be touring Italian theaters from April 2.

Singer-songwriter, musician, presenter, writer and president of the Italian National Singers' Association – just to name a few of his many souls – Ruggeri has been able to interpret each story in a peculiar and compelling way.

It starts from that of Yamaha founder Torakusu, through the visionary Genichi Kawakami, founder of the Yamaha Motor Company, to more recent characters who belong to the many souls of the House of Iwata, from racing to the Dakar, with a final bright, forward-looking look.

"We wanted to tell the long and intriguing story of Yamaha through our Dark Side, which has always been associated with the MT range, going in search of untold and exciting tales that are, however, an integral part of the story itself. To catapult the listener into the heart of the story, we thought of the unmistakable voice and interpretation of Enrico Ruggieri, who also thanks to his dark timbre will give the right nuances to narrate Yamaha's great ability to look to the future, to explore every side of its soul." - explains Andrea Colombi, Yamaha's Country Manager in Italy.
