Communication for Call4Ideas – Hunt for Innovators for the BPER Group

The Open Innovation Program of the BPER Group

The first contest, “Call4Ideas – Hunt for Innovators,” linked to the BPER Group’s B612 Open Innovation program, launched in 2019 with the goal of creating an internal community of innovators within the bank, fostering a culture of innovation as an opportunity to renew its business model.

The corporate intrapreneurship program was coordinated by the consulting firm The Doers; in the initial phase, they supported the bank in selecting ideas and participants, and subsequently guided the teams in exploring new business models through an innovation coaching journey.
Industree handled the development of the project’s identity and communication strategy across all phases, primarily disseminated through BPER’s digital channels, to create an immersive, challenging, and engaging environment for participants.

During the B612 Camp, one of the initiatives of the Group’s Open Innovation Program, BPER brought together 50 members of the Community, selected through the first edition of Call4Ideas “Hunt for Innovators” for an initial meeting. This was just the beginning of a collaborative journey that led BPER to implement new business models. In addition to managing the event communication, Industree Change produced several videos and numerous video-interviews to allow employees who did not attend the workshop to grasp key aspects of the experience and access the main takeaways from the two days.

Hunt for Innovators B612 – Key Figures from the First Edition

Following the success of the first edition, in 2020 BPER launched the second edition of B612’s “Hunt for Innovators” with the aim of consolidating a culture of innovation within the company, further strengthening the project’s identity and progressively transforming it into a true corporate practice.
Compared to the first edition, the second edition introduced more specific and business-oriented areas of focus to guide participants’ proposals and ideas.
The four trends identified for researching and proposing new ideas were:
- Socio-demographic transformation
- Socio-economic transformation
- Sustainability
- New technologies
As with the first edition, Industree Change handled the renewal and development of the communication identity supporting the project at every stage, from launch to the conclusion of the contest.
